Bitter

Years ago when I decided what I wanted to be when I grow up I decided that I want to be a teacher. I really wanted to teach band. The problem was that music programs and art programs are being cut all over the place. Because of this fact I decided to teach English. I figured that English would be a stable job that wouldn't get cut. Apparently I was wrong.

This year I signed a one-year contract. The one year is almost up and the problem that I am seeing is that there are only 4 English teacher openings within driving distance. Four. The numbers are not in my favor. Needless to say, I am becoming quite bitter about this. I am scared that I won't have a job next year. With the current economy, I don't know what I will do.

I guess this is a post to vent my frustration, but also to solicit your prayers.
